What are LED lights?

An LED or Light Emitting Diode is basically a p-n junction diode which is connected in reverse biasing in the circuit, i.e., the positively biased end of the diode with negative end of the circuit and vice versa. On passing current through the diode, light is emitted and on varying the voltage, the color of the light emitted changes. So it is a real advantage of using the LEDs.

Due to the multiple coloring, the led lighting can also be used in toys. The LEDs are mainly in solid state, so they can withstand much more shocks and jerks than the fluorescent lights which are very delicate. So, the durability of the LED lights is much more. Apart from the advantages, the LEDs require a high first installation charge during their setup.
